Why can't I fit a shower cabin on carpet?
Firstly hygiene dictates this is not advisable. Other reasons are you cannot pull the shower out to service any failed item.ALL shower cabins are designed to be pulled away from the wall which is why they are freestanding and why they come with flexible waste hosing. The best flooring is always ceramic or bathroom quality laminate wood. All showers, however, big can be easily pulled out from their position.
Top Tip: Always pull your product out from the wall by the base and never by the glass as doing so could cause the glass to shatter or break a silicone joint causing a leak. Be careful of the legs/feet when pulling the shower out or pushing it back into position. Uneven floors or ridges in the grout/floorboards can cause the feet to get caught in them and subsequently bend or break them.
