How do I service my shower?
EXTERNAL CHECK
1) Isolate your shower cabin from the electrical mains.
2) Turn off the water supply to the shower cabin. If the shower has been installed as directed, you will have easy access taps, simply turn these off.
3) Pull the cabin away from its position and check the below items.
a- Check the tightness of all water joints/hoses (including supply house to shower hoses) tighten or replace where required.
b- Check electrical connections for any obvious signs of poor connections. Never attempt to repair an electrical connection prior to the connection to the transformer/steam generator as this will have full voltage running through it! ALWAYS USE A QUALIFIED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR IF UNSURE.
c- Check for build/install leaks from glass panels and silicone joints
d- Check for signs of water leaks/weeping under the product or where it has been standing.
INTERNAL CHECK
e- Check body jet/monsoon/ hand shower head orifices and prick with a pin to release any calcium build up.
f- Check door runner wheels for wear. Adjust if required. Vaseline (or any light clean grease) lightly inside the runner to prolong life.
g- Check fold seat (if fitted) for operation lightly Vaseline folding joint to prevent seizure.
h- Check aluminium fittings for paint bubbling/rust. If found change your cleaning product immediately to non-caustic neutral ingredient maker. Wash with water.
If you are unsure about carrying out any of the above tasks, please contact a local DIY person/tradesperson. This check should take no more than 30 minutes.
