Fittings depend on the level of specification of your purchase, ES economy level, Premium-level, or top-of-range Platinum. The ES range some items are plastic fittings including hand shower etc. These a Chrome finished. On the Platinum model for example most are brass then chrome plated. Other items are stainless steel not requiring a Chrome finish. The one thing to understand is, you only ever chrome plate, solid chrome doesn't exist as such. Plating is a process that is applied to metals, It's not like gold for example whereby you have 24ct pure gold down to 9ct which is only 37.5% as mixed with other metals. Chrome plating relies on the thickness of the application.
